[sigh] I want one....

The Times UK said: Although only a concept version of the Sports Racer has been built, three more prototypes will be assembled early this year in time for cars to be delivered in June. Climax says it will build no more than 200 to maintain exclusivity. Kiero-Watson says the company will make a profit after just 35 sales. All cars will be built by Coventry Prototype Panels, which is making the Dutch Spyker supercar. The Sports Racer, says Kiero-Watson, “is a hand-built British sports car designed to be a winner on the track and with more than enough glamour to drive to a society event without looking a berk”. Engine 4.6 litres, V8 Power 345bhp @ 6500rmp Torque 305 lb ft @ 3500rpm Transmission Six-speed manual Acceleration 0-60mph: 3.7sec Top speed More than 170mph

Blah Blah Blah. Another big-ticket, boutique car that no one who can afford it will actually drive in anger. When will we see the 1200 pound car that hits 60 in under 4 seconds, tops out at 150 or so, and pulls 1G out of the box for $20,000? Oh, with a decent trunk too.

When NHTSA and the EPA get disbanded?

When the average consumer stops caring how many TV screens are available in the fifth row, and if the fifth row passengers can have there own HVAC system.

And yes, when the EPA and the NHTSA get boned.
