"Favorite" Eastwood flick? You might as well ask me to pick just one car.
Two kinds of people. Those with loaded guns..and those who dig. You dig.

Sergeant, all you have to do to have an equal share in this money..is to crank this turret around, and blow a hole in that door.

Don't forget that I skipped all the Dirty Harry films, and "Play Misty For Me".

Paint Your Wagon.
Its only saving grace is that it does have Clint... and Lee Marvin.
Yeah, that one was a stinker. My copy of 'Misty' has an interview with him where he makes reference to getting sidetracked into musicals, he almost winces when he says that.
Speaking of Lee Marvin: his portrayal of the crazy biker in 'The Wild One' was great. I never realized how broad his range was till I watched it again.

Remember Cat Balou? The scene where both he and the horse are leaning up against the building? Hilarious.

has there ever been a more often quoted movie line ?
I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?
and this one:
A man's got to know his limitations.
Go ahead, make my day.
You know what makes me really sick to my stomach? Is watching you stuff your face with those hot dogs. Nobody, I mean NOBODY puts ketchup on a hot dog. ('course I put ketchup on my hotdogs ...)
and this one pretty much fits perfectly on this forum:
Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone.
there really isn't any one better than the rest ... but the first I remember ( other than Maverick ) was Coogan's Bluff
Kelly's Heroes. I have a soft spot for that movie.

I liked Bridges of Madison County, but I l had a chick sitting next to me and explaining it all the way through. Ever ride through a small town while riding a motorcycle or driving a nice a sports car, and see the women on the side of the road with that "I'll do ANYTHING for you if you'll GET ME THE BERKELEY OUT OF HERE!" look on their face as you went by? Long story short, the movie's about what might happen if you actually stopped.
Several asides to Appleseed, just for the "Kellly's Heroes" love. When the film first came out, the marketing people tried to compare it to "The Dirty Dozen". It took years (and fans) to realize the thing has much more in common with "Catch-22" or "MAS*H". It's very definitely an anti-war film. I still think the guys who wrote "Three Kings" were inspired by it.
Mulligan was actually played by Telly Savalas' brother George. "Is it dirty, or just illegal?"
