It’s been a pretty tense week in le Casa de Android. My youngest son, age 9, went in for an ultrasound yesterday for a mass that his doctor detected during a routine office visit. The ultrasound was to rule out cancer.
Thank the heavens the results came back first thing this morning- negative for cancer. If I could do a cartwheel without hurting myself, I would have after reading that news!
A good reminder for me to appreciate my friends and loved ones, every day I can.
My first reaction is to say, "Don't be so paranoid"
Hurray!

Excellent news - best of luck and medical science in correcting the remaining issue, if there is one.
Glad to hear the good news!
Thanks all!
John- thank you for the laugh, I needed that.
When I picked him up today, he said “Daddy I’m so glad I don’t have cancer.” That brought a tear to my eye.
Congrats. I know that had to be tearing you up. Glad it's ok.

I consider us to be won-the-lotto lucky. Our kid arrived, I remember inventorying the right number of limbs and digits and noses and such. Then you spend the next 5-10-18-forever years hoping nothing goes wrong. Cuz if your kid gets sick all you can do is beg to take that away, transfer it to yourself, but you never get to do that. My boy has been healthy as a horse his whole life thus far. To all y'all who have had to go through scares like this, I'd buy you a pint if I could. Instead I hoist one in your honor, and another to your kids' good health!
Glad to hear it.
P.S. berkeley cancer right in it's ear.
Great news! Cancer always sucks, even more so when it appears in children.

So much this!
I can honestly say I have never been so scared in my life.
Absolutely no child deserves to even have the inkling that they may have a life threatening illness. Thinking of those that do is heartbreaking.
Fantastic, and what a relief.
Man, that's scary! I am so glad he's okay. I'm going to give my kiddos an extra hug each tonight. They get lots already, but they deserve even more. ;-)
