The other gutter thread reminded me that I still need to fix some gutters at my house that are pulling away.
I bought the long screws to reattach them but my house has fairly deep eaves so when I place a ladder on the wall below them I can't reach around to secure the gutter. If I place the ladder on the gutter then I can't reposition the gutter that is sagging since there is the ladder weight on it. Doing it while on the roof and hanging over the edge sounds dangerous. Is there a trick that I am not thinking of to get easier access? Should I just pay someone to come out and redo the gutters?
Most likely the most pointless thread today.
I did try a stabilizer but still couldn't get the reach. Maybe I just need to find one with a longer standoff?
A tall A-frame, folding ladder?
I've got a couple good ladders for gutter work, one is an extension ladder with what looks like a deeper standoff. The other is a folding multi-ladder that might be tall enough to reach your gutters in A frame mode. (It's a 22' ladder in extension mode) How high are your gutters? How's access around them? You'd be welcome to borrow one of my ladders for a few days!

I knew you were going to come in and say that. Too bad you sold it.

Its back for a while, we had to service the brakes for the new owner.
This is the ladder stabilizer I have on my extension ladder.

I hadn't thought about one of the multi ladders. The height to the gutter is around 16-17'. Access is from the driveway but the concrete is fairly broken up. That may be the best option. I need to buy a ladder anyway so I might as well buy one that will work for this. The extension ladder with standoff I tried had a 10" standoff. 20" would probably work fine.
Here is a terrible street view picture.

Do you want to take a test drive to make sure the brakes work and swing by my house?
