Alright, as some of you know i was looking at an 02 BMW M3-well thats gone. Not only was it expensive (but a fair, it only had 30k on it and looks brand new) but insurance was 300-400 a month. Yikes! So...looking again. Coming back from deployment in a couple weeks so getting restless and spending more time than i should on craigslist/autotrader ect.

Critera: $15K MAX. RWD, and i like v8s but not required. Would like it to be less than a decade old. Want something 'luxury' or 'premium' (or what ever word you want to use) because...well just because, but still performance. Pretty much anything is considered luxury to me though, stepping up from a 92 F150...

What i got my list narrowed down to:

04- maybe 05 (found one i like that i can afford) Pontiac GTO. This car is at the top of my list, and they can be had for 10k. Nicer ones obviously go up. KBB puts them at 14K at a dealer. The 05 I found is 15K at a dealer but has 93xxx miles on it so might be able to get it down. Have to wait till monday to call.

99 Mercedes C43 AMG. 4 door, 300HP V8, total sleeper. Yes its older than 10 years, but i dont like c32 AMG of the early 2000s. I love these things but unsure of how much it would really cost to own. Most have 130xxx + miles.

05+ Mustang GT. Probably the cheapest to own, makes the most sense. But that also makes them extremely common on a military base. Leather interior, v8, whats not to love with these things?

Those are the top 3. Insurance sucks cause im 21 but no accidents or tickets on my record. All these cars with some shopping around fell into about $130 a month, i can live with that. Nothing will beat the $20 i pay now on the Ford but...That BMW was just crazy expensive.

Buy a sleeper that people will slow down as you pull by. Crown Vic in blue. Police package.

Wow, didnt know CTS-V's could be had for less than 20...i like that black one.

Retired Cop car- i love em, but not sure young 20's females do. If i had room or money for 2 new cars it would be on my short list for E36 M3s and giggles.

M5-Insurance, but 540i..hmmm...(off to craigslist)

I've picked up better chicks in pickups and a Crown Vic' than I have in the E30 convertible or the 5 series. Just sayin'.

EDIT: Also, the backseat on the Vic' requires a lot less, um, uncomfortable creativity than the others, if you know what I mean. Or the front seat for that matter.
