I probably won't take your suggestion, this is just a fun exercise.
I have some time this weekend (my birthday) to get out of town. I thought about going to Tallmadge OH to buy a bunch of cheap parts at Summit that I don't need, but that's 5 hours, and I need to be in Bedford PA at lunch on Sunday. I can leave around 4pm tomorrow (Friday)
I can camp, hotel, whatever.
Recommend something to do within 4 hours of Harrisburg PA that I can do for fun.
For many Gettysburg would be the answer. For some Hershey. Mrs Frog likes Frederick.
Motorcycle trip?
Due to some unplanned delays in my road trip this summer, I didn't get a chance to stop at Kinzua Bridge State Park.
Google Maps says it's 4 hours away from you so definitely don't do that.

I bet you won't.

I would LOVE to make it a motorcycle trip, but the reason I have to be in Bedford on Sunday is to pick up my Pit Bull from my Ex. I don't think she'd enjoy being ratchet-strapped on the back seat.
I'm having a party which includes smoking and frying a turkey on Saturday and I have a spare couch.
How's your twirling? Stevie is playing in Hershey Saturday night.
You could venture to historic Bethlehem, PA and check out the SteelStacks campus and take a walking tour.

Unfortunately, you will miss the Pizzafest, which happens on Sunday.
There's a RallyCross in your backyard on Saturday. Doesn't check the "out of town" box though.

That's nuts! I had no idea she was still doing live shows.
In reply to RevRico :
Oh, now that's interesting. Hmmm.

I went to an autox there a couple years back and threatened to revisit.
No PA trip advice, but happy birthday. Mine is as well, although I have a few years on ya!
people that follow the zodiac stuff, when I tell 'em the date, get a tilt of the head kinda look, and say: "You know, that kinda explains a lot!"
(I get the impression, they are not really complimenting me )
I forget if inm a very late Libra, or a very early one... I do remember it's at a changeover time, that supposedly typecasts some of my quirks!
West of Bedford, PA is Ohiopyle, Penn State Park. Some beautiful outdoors. Also Frank Loydd Wright Fallingwater in the same area.
Could be tied to a Revrico stop also
So I think my lady friend (need to find a nickname for her for forum purposes) and I are going to hit some hiking trails around Frederick, and we might end up in Baltimore for a drink and a crabcake.
Skaneateles NY. A cool older New York finger lakes getaway.
or Corning for the glass museum.
or Jamestown ny to see the place where Lucy was born.
Letxhworth state park is another great stop in New York.
Frederick, you say? You could visit the historic Frederick Brewing Company, home of the sadly gone but not forgotten Hempen Ale brand.
