I am going to Comicon next month and it was suggested I go in costume. The only superhero I am familiar with is Captain Chaos. I have everything but a decent mask. There's a costume available but it ships from the UK, which I don't have time for and would rather not pay $100 for. Any ideas where I could find/make a decent copy of this?
My cousin goes to 2/3 a year and posts a lot pictures. Nothing looks simple.....
Captain underpants. Simple, but needs brass...."confidence"

Is that Dom deloies? Was that a Bert Reynolds movie?

Dood! Cannonball Run. You've got some homework to finish this weekend.
In reply to Wally (Forum Supporter) :
Find a non-knitted bank robber style ski mask.
Cut off the bottom in the shape of the full Chaos mask.
Now use paint to fill in the black of the eye mask.

That's the one I was thinking. I think I might have suffered through the whole thing twice, way back when it was new. Bits and pieces since. Horribly written, worse acting. If it wasn't for a few cool cars, it'd be a waste. I never did figure out if they knew it was a farce, or thought they were making a good movie.
I was more a fan of the gumball rally, at the time. (Movie)
As a blue collar guy, the real rally was way outa my reach.
Are you going with someone? I'm not a guy who dresses up but the single greatest costume I did was simple.
My wife when I met her was really into dressing up and came up with a cool mermaid outfit but it had a backstory: it was a woman than was turning into a mermaid/sea creature because of her overwhelming love of the sea.
My costume? A nametag that said "The Sea"
^Anxiously awaiting the results of this thread.

We might have to revoke your GRM card now.
"Him" only comes in times of great danger.
Search for spandex hoods. Cut as needed and color black section with a sharpie. Use a silver sharpie for the letters.
Plan 'B' is a orange swim cap and use black body paint on your face.
Hope your mustache is in shape!

I guess the biggest problem is, I was over 12 years old when it came out.
Now, have ya seen The Gumball Rally? Some GREAT scenes!

BTW, despite thinking the movie was way too cheesy, I vaguely remember Cpt. Chaos, and think it's an excellent costume choice.
Nobody is going to suggest......

I went with something like this. The event is probably going to require face masks so I don't have to cut it.

I should have pictures in about a month.
I'm meeting a group there, most of them I don't know and they're all undecided on costumes. I have to work and am not terribly ambitious so this looks like something I can put on easily when I leave the office. There are some good ideas for next year, I forgot about Chris Farley as the school bus driver.
You could just try to "represent" via t-shirt if that's enough.

The best part of Cannonball Run was the organ music every time Jack Elam opened a door...

I was 14 and loved every minute of it as well as CBR 2, Gumball, Hooper, Dukes of Hazard, Stroker Ace, Smokey and the Bandit, The Fall Guy, Magnum PI, and just about every other movie that involved cars doing stupid stuff on the street and dirt.
The spandex mask came in and it's pretty good. My mother in law has an embroidery machine and is going to try and get Chaos stitched on it
