A buddy in Dayton has a 62 ford f100 - he's interested in a newer drivetrain, a/c, updated suspension, perhaps updated interior - all fab work - wants to keep the existing paint. Sounds like a fun project. Could go hot rod parts or p71 suspension/drivetrain swap. He has a realistic budget for it.

Find this guy. Right up your alley. He post his stuff on YouTube and Retro-rides

Don's hot rods, either in Germantown or Franklin. Not sure if they're still in business or not, but I sold paint to them 25 years ago. Very reputable, at least back then. Some stuff similar to Coddington. Probably expensive.

I've been watching some of his Youtube videos (search for Grenade Motorsports.) He's outside Cleveland, Ohio so not terribly far away from your friend in Dayton. He's a little excitable in his videos, but he does seem to churn out chassis swaps pretty quickly - recently he's been on a kick of putting old truck bodies on late model Hemi Durango chassis, but he's also done some Ford truck Coyote motor swaps that I liked.

That fits on a Crown Vic chassis pretty handily. I don't know why anyone would spend more to fabricate something. Slick 60s online club has quite a few guys who have done it.

Pauls Automotive in Cincinnati does top notch stuff and may be willing to help with the project. Not cheap but quality stuff.
