No, not that kind (although, if you are that kind of grass expert, lets talk)
Trying to figure out what this stuff is. Its the only thing that's choking out the weeds in the yard, so I'd like to try and get some seed for it.
Its in full sun in Tampa.
Commonly known as weeds. Based on the picture it is close to going to seed again. Take it to you local extension agent to get best answer.
I can't see your pic but take a sample to any nursery. If it's a broadleaf weed it should be pretty easy to kill.
By "not that kind" I'm assuming you're referring to a cool season grass, which would perform poorly in your area, hence "not that kind"...
There is a dioecious herb that is sometimes erroneously referred to as grass... it's a blast to grow but pm me for any info on that.

No picture for me. For grass you want Argentine Bahia, tough to grow from seed but it loves full sun. It loves it so much that you need to over seed with something that likes partial sun around your trees because it will thin out without full sun.
No stems, no seeds that you don't need, Acapulco Gold is..... bad ass weed.
That's all I got.

Looking at that link, specifically it may be green kyllinga
I'll do some more research, but it matches most of the description. Frustrating.
good site:

unfortunately my yard has almost all the types shown...
Oh yeah, I've seen grass like this before, I've played on this. See This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff.

It's a real Cinderella story.
