His new album is out.  Finally got a chance to give it listen through and while I don't think there are any big hits it is darn good Jack White.

Been a fan since he was just John "Doc" Gillis playing with Goober and the Peas out of Detroit. He is becoming THE guy in the vinyl world. A nephew of a friend of mine has just recently connected with him through a fluke meeting over some sound equipment Jack has. (the nephew does concert sound, tours with some pretty big names)

Pretentious knob.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I think that's a requirement for being a musician.

Except for Lemmy.

He's kind of an ass - not only needs a performer's attitude, but he's a little guy as well - but I don't find him pretentious.

He's genuinely interested in obscure old music and deeply loves the process of making it.

I like his stuff a lot, so I'll check it out.

I don't care for him much, maybe I should give it another try. But he knows Good music when he hears it

Because Lemmy is a bass player.

Never heard of this guy, unless he's half of a duo with Meg White known as the White Stripes?

Yes, he is.  Also in bands called the Raconteurs and Dead Weather.

This is like saying "those three guys that played with Ringo in the Beatles," but yes, that's him.

Love him, and I think the album with no name is a great idea.

I've gotten tours of his vinyl record making plant in Detroit.  It's an interesting derivative process to a guy who works in production plastics operations everyday (me, I'm referring to me here).
