Long story short, I need to locate a starter wire in a 2009 Highlander Hybrid, that can be disrupted. Car must not start when this is done. I have looked at all the usual wiring sites, and have found nothing of use. I have also found nothing to use in the vehicle, at this point.

Anyone have any leads?

I just pulled up the ign switch wiring diagram on ALLDATA. Unfortunately it was scanned in poorly, so you can't see any text on the diagram.

Hopefully someone else can post a good image of the ignition diagram.

Forgot to add, this one is push button. So the pink wire in the 7th pin, won't work.

Cone Junky, thanks for looking! I appreciate it a ton.

In response to Gameboy, roll start it all you want, unit will know the motor was started without a test, and violate you.

Don't use the starter wire. That has huge current flowing through it and can be bypassed readily with a jumper cable.

Use the crankshaft position sensor wire to the ECU. Put the disconnect relay right next to the sensor - if possible, hardwire it in - and the car will not start if it's disconnected. The starter will spin but the engine will never fire.

It doesn't have a starter per se, it has a motor generator that will spin the engine on command.
