Lol i was joking around... i'll eat anything at least twice.

Couscous, hummus, and kiwis are a staple in my household.

This thread reminded me that i must eat more salmon, though... forgot it had that much protein and i get sick of chicken.

I cooked dinner last night. Whole wheat angel hair pasta, roasted garlic tomato sauce, and pan-fried lentil rice "meat" balls; steamed fresh asparagus; homemade Caesar salad dressing on romaine and green leaf with homemade garlic salted croutons. That was pretty damn good!

If you believe that, you are an idiot. ^ Mac Danzig

I've followed Mac for awhile because i'm a fan, not necessarily because of his lifestyle choices.

Yes, he's huge.

BUT, he's gone on record saying that it's a struggle for him to keep all that mass on him, and he's straight up admitted that it's because of his diet.

The Oster isn't saying that it's impossible, just that it's a struggle, and there's no denying that it is. Mac takes a TON of supplements to stay healthy and that large, and there's no shame in admitting it. It can work, you just need to work at it, and that's fine.

"You can't really call most powerlifters 'natural,' because there's nothing natural about eating 50 chicken breasts a week. Perhaps you should call them 'non-enhanced'." - Some fitness website I read awhile ago.

Just an FYI, lentils are protein-rich. Also, apparently according to event the FDA, a person my size only needs about 80 grams of protein a day. There's ~18 grams of protein in 1 cup of cooked lentils and ~31 grams of protein in 3 oz of seitan (which is incredibly delicious).

Lentils are great sure, but best eaten if you live alone.

Sometime try Amaranth instead of Quinoa.

I use a little Chicken bouillon (for the salt) and some portabello mushrooms with it and it's great. It has a less dry texture than Quinoa and a better flavor. We like quinoa, but found we cook the amaranth about 3 to 1.

If you want to be strict vegetabletarian then just just salt or your favorite salt substitute instead of the bouillon.

Plus, he eats the souls of virgins. I don't think those are vegan.

BTW--Jason Ellis (on Sirius) said it best about that clip.

It's proof that he has no idea how to fight. He pushed a dude who was bigger than him and then put his hands to his side. lol

Well, I made it a whole week. The only time I had a craving for any animal product at all was wanting a glass of milk to go with my waffles.

BTW, honey lovers, try agave. It's like maple syrup made from cactus but tastes like honey. Good stuff!

I'm pretty much vegan too this week. Mostly due to this thread, I switched to not-milk (soy, can't find almond here) for my cereal & I have no more dairy around either. I'll probably grab a bit of cheese or plain yoghurt at some point but I don't feel like any right now.

Agave nectar is goddamn delicious. Add it to some rum & lime juice, over ice. Yesplz.

Sure you can! In fact... I've been know to put it in the microwave. It's really good with olive oil, some chopped mint and green onions.

On the salmon comments:

We just went out this Saturday on Lake Michigan Salmon fishing. Had fresh wild salmon, pulled out of the water 3 hours earlier. It was PHENOMENAL! Made it up into Salmon cakes, best fish I've ever had.
