We're planning to go Friday & Saturday - seems to turn into a Thanksgiving tradition for us...
I'll be there Friday and Saturday most likely.
If you guys want something else fun to do check out Crash-A-Rama for some "interesting" racing and fantastic people watching.
There's enough to do in Jacksonville Thanksgiving weekend that I probably won't made a 2 day "thing" out of it...I'm just sort of ticked that I missed the big swap meet in Daytona this month...so I want to be sure to hit the Turkey Run.
I went a few years back for work, it was a blast. Not able to go this year, but I am thinking about next year, just to get away.
Tim and Tommy left this morning before 7. They had the Shelby out at Bellair Plaza last night, too, and I'm sure we'll all take our annual after-turkey ride down there again tonight.

Gad, he loves that thing (the Shelby), doesn't he? It flies off the page every time he writes about it.
Had a great time today. Only I can get sunburn in late November! That is a huge show! It was good to meet you Greg.

You're not the only lobster out there. I have a sun burn from being at the Rod Run today as well.

Um, yeah. Walked away from a couple of conversations today where someone mentioned "Mustang" and I just knew we were in for the loonnngggg talk about the Shelby. It's truly awesome, don't get me wrong, I just already know the words to the "I love my Shelby" national anthem by heart.

[ giggle ] I accidentally did that to a friend at Lake Mirror this year. We were waiting to talk to you guys* when we spotted Carl Beck's 240z. I ended up talking to Carl about his car and my replica for a long time....so long that my buddy gave up, walked over to the wall and sat down because he could tell we would be going on for quite a while.
*- Never did get the chance...you had somebody else move the CMS car away from the grand stand

Hmm. Sounds like they need to get your Corvair running before they continue on this path.
I met up with some friends there and it appeared that it was gray shirt, camo shorts, black and white nike day.
at the end of the day there ended up being 5 of us like this and our girlfriends all thinking we planned it. Totally a coincidence.
I still need to upload my pics. Favorite cars I found were a 427 Falcon and and a Twin turbine ls7 1st gen camaro.

Hmm. Seems I've forgotten the concept of "lead time" in publishing. My mind's still got the pic from CM with it in the paint booth.
Shoot, I remember when Tim and Margie took the Corvair for a drag strip run at the '06 Challenge. I think I even have a picture somewhere.
Yeah, but that drag run was prior to the restoration. I bet we could do it in under 20 seconds now!

Well, we went on Friday and Saturday, spotted a couple of nice cars, had a good time and drank a lot of lemonade.
Saturday would have been a lot less zombiefied if the hotel we were staying at in Deland hadn't forgotten to tell us that they turned the floor below the guest rooms into a nightclub that was busy until far too early in the morning
