My COBRA is running out this month and my current employer doesn't provide coverage. I just want a policy that will protect me from going bankrupt if I get serious cancer or am badly injured in a car accident. I can live with a high deductible and have done enough free vet tech work as a dog rescuer to stitch myself up if I have to.
I don't want this to flounder into yet another health insurance argument. I just want a solution.
Where are you located? I can give you a phone number for my company, but i'll say up front that i have no idea what their rates are, i don't personally work with individual policies.

That's Anthem Individual sales. You SHOULD be able to get a high deductible plan on the cheap. May also be called "Health Savings Choice" or something like that.
be sure to use a disposable e-mail account ... in a matter of a few days you'll be covered up with spam .... to the tune of 20 - 30 (or more) per day
