Before I go diving into the world of GoDaddy, is anyone here a website designer and operator? Trying to get a small business going. Have the LLC already done as well as the domain name. I'm just clueless when it comes to building a website. I'm looking for something simple and easy.
Are you looking for an e-commerce platform, or just a "We provide this service in this area - here's how to reach us" sort of site?
I am. I can hand-code a basic "business card" site in a few minutes, if you want something more complicated you should choose a free CMS platform to match the level of complexity required.
Even though we have engineers on staff that can create bespoke websites very easily (like, me for example) our startup uses WordPress because we don't want to spend resources on it, and the results are good enough. I highly recommend this approach until you're profitable.

The latter. I'm going to be offering services, so I want a site with a nice looking home page that explains what I do. Another page to give background on why they should pick me, and then tabs (pages) on the services offered.
This is just a side gig/hobby. Not something I'm planning on making a living from.
I'm the same as you. Knew nothing, did a lot of googling, eventually built http://tunedconcepts.com using basic wordpress stuff. For what you want I'd suggest just doing a bit of homework and diving in unless you can find someone really cheap to help you out, or you are extremely computer-challenged.
I've dealt with setting up Wordpress sites and getting people familiar enough to maintain them. https://pacomotorsports.com/ is one I've done. Feel free to DM me or text me. 2six7 nineoh8 six7two5
