I dream of drinking on the job most days. A (couple) scotch on the rocks would make the days sooooo much better.

There's a maintenance guy that shows up blitzed on a regular basis. Of all of the places I'd like to get drunk a factory/machine shop is not one of them.

My official title.is emergency on call direct care. Basically I am the first line of defense for.about two dozen people of various disability levels across the south metro. I have to know their jackets, their drugs, their programs, etc. I also have two on site I am directly responsible for in case things go.wrong due to their program requirements. Realistically, because most of my client carry some pretty heavy narc bags, they've all got excellent knockout drugs. So they're all in bed before I show up. In that event, I am allowed to sleep, as long as I have the emergency phone. Which, never leaves the office so I always have it. That's the long version.
The short version is, I go to work I pack narcs. I count them. I count money. I read daily notes. This all takes me about 15min. If my one client is awake I might go watch TV with her. If not, I hang out and do E36 M3 on my phone. Netflix, games, etc. When I'm sleepy, I set an alarm to get up for morning programs and I go to sleep. Rinse and repeat. Pays like E36 M3, but I actually have medical dental and a 401k, paid time off and personal time, my boss is rad and it keeps my kid out of day care. I mean, who else's boss calls and says I got this free ticket to this metal show, you wamma maybe go?
At work we have Thursty Thursdays, which is where the company supplies food, beer and wine starting at 4:00pm. Everyone is encouraged to participate. It's really berkeleying awesome.

I misread this as 'Thrusty Thursdays' and was thinking that it sounded like a good place, depending on your coworkers.
Not working now thanks to the new chemo. The last 5 places I have worked had a strict 'no alcohol on company property' policy. It seems that there have been a couple of sizeable lawsuits over drunk employees getting in accidents with demo cars, the problem is since the car belongs to the company they are open to a huge liability. So the trend industry wide is no booze.
