The last few posts of "I can tell them Today, for the 16th, then switch, etc." was like you were still debating telling them sooner for some reason. I get trying to be the good guy, and not leave anyone in a bad way. I treat my guys very well, and none would leave me hanging, but we are a small company. The big company you describe will escort you to the door, and will make sure it happens before they have to do the 401K match. You might think no one would notice, but companies that big have people who keep track of stuff like that

Ah. Well, that post was still against my telling them earlier, because it followed with my saying that I didn't see it as any better. At least in that situation, worst case scenario I'd be getting about $1,200, minus the days that I'd be working (the free vacation would be worth it though).

And yes, they definitely have people that watch for that. They have people that watch time cards and I'll get an email a week before it is due if I've entered it incorrectly.

And just gave notice. Not sure why I was so nervous, or why I'm still feeling this anxious. Looks like I'll be working through at the very least Wednesday. We'll see how much work I can pound out in that time.

good to hear … you were at least doing this with an eye out for yourself … way too many co. don't treat their departing employees well
