Background updates the other day. Try to clear your cache, it should help.
Although the "automatically going to the last post you looked at on latest topics" is a bit strange.
Embarrassingly I admit that was the issue.
I find that the window width doesn't exactly snap to the width of my phone screen, so swipe scrolling sometimes makes it drift off center.

I have the same problem and its driving me nuts.
Every loaded page I manually resize it so that I am not scrolling left/right and only up/down.
The site got a software update earlier in the week, so see if clearing your browser cache helps.
I asked our developers about the need to clear caches. He said some browsers automatically do that. I didn’t need to do that with my phone (Safari w/OSX), and this is what the site looks like:
