I ordered some gun parts ($600+ worth) from Northwest Custom Precision on 1/3/14 and can't get anything out of them. I'm 2/3 of a country away or I would knock on their door myself. If anyone is local to them and is interested in stopping by their shop to see what the major malfunction is I can hook you up with some excellent craft brew.
Hmm. Looks like it is a storage shop, near the chrome platers I use. I will attempt to swing by and check it out but I am betting the place is locked up at any hours I could make it there.
Got an order number or anything? I know zilch about firearms other than what direction to point them.
How were they paid for? Paypal has some pretty hardcore buyer protections.

Awesome and thank you! Here's the address I found for them: 790 30th St Bldg H Suite 3 Springfield Oregon. I ordered as part of a Rockethub campaign. Unfortunately there isn't a specific order number, but I do have a screen shot of the order and a chain of emails from when I placed the order. Whats the best way to get you the info?
It was paypal, but their protections only work for 30 days. When I funded the project it was listed as being 10-12 weeks for delivery so I was outside my claim window before I had a chance.
It was after 6:30 when I made it there. Empty lot, no signage. No way to tell if they still occupy that location.
I don't stand much chance of getting near there during actual business hours though.
Thanks for checking into it for me. Where do you I send the care package?

No worries man. I didn't accomplish anything
Wasn't there a GRM'er in that vicinity that was also into guns?
Can't remember his name the moment. Anyone else remember?

I think you are thinking of rebelgtb?
I think Flyin Mikey J is the only other Eugene/Springfield GRMer. Don't know anything about him.

That's the one. I know he's not in the Eugene area, but being in the gun game he might know the company or a friend of a friend.
Here's his profile: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/community/rebelgtp/ (he's in La grande, OR)
Worth dropping him a message and see if he's still around.
Sorry guys I have never dealt with that company if I was on that side of the state I would stop by and see what was up. I do know even though "the panic" has calmed many companies are still sitting on a ton of back orders. My last set of Aero Precision receivers took a solid 6 months to get, long enough I had forgotten about them and was shocked when my dealer called to say he had a package for me. 80% lower companies seem to be even worse as many people ordered to try and keep off the radar. AR500 body armor has a huge backlog as well.
I will ask around a bit and see if anyone I know has a connection at the shop.
Kinda funny the baby is asleep so I figured I would take a couple minutes to browse GRM. Good timing.
Well a quick bit of digging and it does not look good they have a F rating from the BBB and lots of people saying they have placed orders and never receiving anything in return. Found a couple folks that were more than 6 months out on things and haven't received anything.
I'm over a year out and haven't had any meaningful contact from them in months, I've considered hopping on a plane to visit a cousin of mine in Portland and then making a detour. At this point the $600 sucks, but I'm mostly aggravated about being scammed.
In the next few months I may travel out that way. If things have not been resolved I may be able to drive by there and see what their story is.

I would certainly appreciate it!
