Sweet. My brother was there a few years ago and loved it.

I really liked it there. First time I ever saw an M5 - heard something screaming up the road approaching the Arc. It went by a couple of inches away from the curb a full throttle - just saw a black flash. The people were pretty nice as long as we tried to speak a bit of French (they didn't seem to care for my boss much though).

Not a bad place to be. I had to go there a couple of times for work before, plus I tend to go to France on a regular basis anyway. Food's better than in the UK for starters .

Not everybody speaks English there (a little unusual for Europe, but that's the case) so try to pick up some basic French - it is generally appreciated if you make an attempt, even if it's more of an attempt at murdering the French language .

If I were you I'd avail myself of the superb French rail network and visit a couple of other places in France over the weekends - the high speed trains (TGV) are fairly cheap (at least by UK standards), comfortable and it's quicker than flying. Would be rude not to.

Normany would be on my list of things to see. Have fun.

Normandy isn't bad but for me that would be too close to what the UK is like. But then again it's very easy to get to, and if you're into history both the tapestry in Bayeux (Google it) and the D-Day stuff is worth looking at.

France is pretty diverse landscape-wise so there is plenty to visit. I'd go down to the Mediterranean at least one weekend (Nice would probably be a good place for that) or to Avignon, rent a car there, look at some Roman remains and drive around the Provence a little bit.

I spent one night in Sandy, but I've never been in Utah. I don't think I'd want to spend any time in Paris. Hilton, at least.

Nothing to add here, but I've had this stuck in my head all day.
