My work van (owned by the company I work for) I received second hand from a guy that quit. It's an '07 GMC Savannah with 47k on the odo. When I got it, it had 30k.
Long story short. I'm convinced this thing has an LSD out back and it's broke. It sometimes feels like it hooks up and sometimes it definitely doesn't. If I spin the wheels in reverse while turning, then put it in drive, when it starts to move forward, it hesitates and "feels" like the rear axle is "popping". This entire winter I have gotten in more trouble in the snow then I have wanted too. I need to know how to figure out if this thing has an LSD before I take it too the shop.
I imagine I can find this somewhere on the VIN or a tag somewhere?
Door tag should have RPO codes like Z28, Z06, LS1, 1LE, etc. Find those, write them all down, then look up RPO codes on the intertubes. It'll tell you if one of them is a LSD.
pm me the last 8 digits of the vin, i'll send you the options list.
Try this. It may tell you what you need to know.
