Our shower is relatively closed off from the rest of the bathroom. It doesn't get great air circulation from either the exhaust fan or the air register. The ends up growing mold quickly no matter what we do short of leaving a fan basically in the shower for about 12 hours a day. I'm tired of that, and was thinking about putting a dehumidifier in the bathroom. Good idea? Bad idea?
Obviously it is a band-aid, but if the band-aid effectively fixes it I'd be happy as putting in a new shower really isn't in the cards right now.
Keep one in the laundry room with the shower, laundry tub, and washer from May to October. It's usually set around 50% and gets empty every day
Mine is in the hall right outside the bathroom and it helps but it’s not a miracle worker. I run it a lot because on weeks like we’re having now it kills the humidity and I can leave the windows open instead of running the ac.
Any possibility of adding an exhaust fan to the shower? Its more work, but could be a better long term solution.
Although even with ours in the shower, moving enough air to not fog the mirror, if we don’t prop the shower door open after we’re done and let the fan run the shower doesn’t really dry.

Short answer is "not right now".
