I have a few days off coming up and was thinking of going to the Keys. There is a ferry that takes you to Dry Tortugas and was thinking my kids would enjoy that ... Anything to do there with a 6, 4 and 1 year old?

I was thinking if they dont like visiting the fort, we can always hang out at the beach.

I've never been, but my wife has and speaks fondly of it.

Lots of history, helpful rangers, and the fishing is great. Not too sure about the beach.

Been there. It was very cool. IIRC it's the largest brick structure.

Edit: Copied from Park Service website: Fort Jefferson, the largest all-masonry fort in the United States, was built between 1846 and 1875 to protect the nation's gateway to the Gulf of Mexico.

But no matter how nice it is don't go there, because it's in Florida and we've firmly established how much Florida sucks and how there is nothing cool here.

Visited it too and it's a good place. I don't remember the beach there, but there's some great snorkeling around the island.

What about Florida boaters?
