Anyone want another Mummy movie?

I am inordinately excited by the prospect of this

I was going to say, "If it stars Brendan Fraser and not Tom Cruise."

So... yeah.

And they better have Rachel Weisz in this one too.

Although I heard Fraser has had a rough time and the Mummy movies really beat his body up. So Hopefully he can handle the action.

I would 100% watch this.

Wait, the Tom Cruise mummy movie was a reboot of this series? I had no idea and still not likely to watch it. Another Brendan Fraser one and I am there, though.

I watched an interview with him a while back. Multiple injuries and illnesses have slowed him down a lot. He also had some pretty serious depression issues. He's put on a ton of weight. 

And those injuries were from the first couple of Mummy movies. Maybe he should license his likeness to put on a CGI model? The tech has definitely improved since The Rock's model in The Mummy Returns.

The Tom Cruise movie was supposed to be the first part of a Universal Monsters movie series.

I'm in. Make the bad guy Beni with his weapon being scarabs that come out of the darkness. He wants revenge.

The tech was actually better than that even back then. Corridor Crew had a guy who worked on that VFX shot on their channel to talk about it, and he said the issue they had was that The Rock was so busy with his wrestling career back then that he was only available for 72 hours to film all of his scenes in the movie. And most of the action scenes ate up that time, so then when the VFX team needed to do the mo-cap and reference stills to make this shot, they literally only had a couple hours with him. They just didn't have the time to get good captures and scans of him from all angles and making all sorts of different expressions so that they could make a good CGI version of him.

Brendan better hit the treadmill.  Actually, that is him in a fat suit for the movie The Whale. Glad to see him come back after being blacklisted and all of that.
