The one below is for sale at double Challenge money, pass. There was one near me with a bad engine, as luck would have it there is an air cooled inline 4 motorcycle engine upstairs.
I contacted New York DMV and they said to give them the VIN and they would research to see if anything similar has ever been registered and get back to me.
Still waiting .....
Just looking for something to haul my butt to the airport with a cooler, logbooks, light jacket etc.; too much for a bike and sometimes I just don't feel like driving a truck.
Anything?

This one's for sale in Florida but missing a Title. Are they legal anywhere?
Nice FC BTW.

Pretty much anything can be street legal by me. You wouldn't even have trouble keeping up with traffic in that
There are a couple of similar "motor-rickshaws" driving around.
30 - 40 mph back roads with 650 Honda power?
In most places, I think they're trikes, and therefore treated like motorcycles. What about a sidecar rig instead?

I see a number of retired ones registered on motorcycle plates used for deliveries.
Here they are considered motorcycles. I knew a guy when I was a youngster that got an ex-mail cart and he drove it all over town.

Rules on this stuff will vary based on state and local law. For example, a local small town near me recently passed an ordinance allowing golf carts during daylight hours if they meet a certain set of restrictions. The catch is they are not allowed on state roads, so they can not operate on the main street through town with the exception of crossing over it on the most direct path.
I think most jurisdictions in the US will want to call what you have pictured a motorcycle with registration and licensing to go with that, but you are going to need to check with whoever has enforcement jurisdiction on the roads you want to travel.
Here the neighborhood ice cream delivery persons run those. They are painted a lovely bright yellow and purple.
If your lucky enough to get one of the homeade titles ohio used to hand out you can plate pretty much anything here!
I grew up in St. Pete, Fla. where you could ride a motorcycle at 14 (later changed to 16). 8th graders were flocking to the police auction and scooping up Cushman scoots with the box on the back. I couldn't wait!
The summer between 7th and 8th grade the family moved to New York.
This - - in the hands of a child - -- in traffic.
FYEAH!!

Dress like this. You'll be fine.

My butt's too big for a skirt, but thanks for the thought.
I wish I could find rear drums for a West Coast mail cart from about 1960. I've seen where a few people have made theirs street legal, but nobody has parts available. Not that I'm going street legal, but I just need mine to stop.

Yes, this.
Thanks Pete, my wife kept peeking around the corner to see what I was all giggling about.
Kramer, I had a sailplane trailer with German brake shoes & drums, tough to find. Have you looked at having the shoes "relined"? Mine were something like 4.5" diameter.

Shoes are available. Drums are broken...
I have no idea if meter maid carts are legal but I'm posting this sexually exploitive photograph of "gams" to see if ECM will ban me before I strike again!
