If the 959 pic goes on a T shirt I'd buy one

Haha, ok. Wait to see if you like it first...it wont be as simple and Mid Century (naturally) as the other one. But we can make that happen!
Update with 914-6 in "70s theme)...I think. Not done, playing with the multiple oranges for the trees as opposed to one color like the 365.
That is well done. Keep up the good work.
You might consider taking the trees all the way down to yellow and off the top of the image.
Haha, thanks! Im trying to push myself, I wanted to have a "suggestion" of the 914, not outlined perfectly but have the accessories define the shape while it blends in the background. Generally I see things very literally and its really difficult to make art like this because my brain wants the grass to be green and sky be blue etc etc. So, this one is really out there to me. Im about to go back to muted colors after this exercise.

Thanks, Ill take a look. I started as a way to push myself with art, if people start taking interest, Ill pursue putting versions out there. Thanks for the headsup!

Officially got shot down by Blipshift...they said the art isnt compelling enough. Oh well, I didnt have high hopes anyway haha
In reply to JStrobel80 :
I like the styles of both other pictures, and the Dakar 959 is one of my favorite race cars so it would take a lot to change my mind.
In reply to JStrobel80 :
One of these will set you back about $180. I'll buy a shirt or two from you for sure.

Interesting, Ill take a look and see if I can justify it. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction.
Hopefully Ill get to start meeting a bunch of you. Ive been going to The Mitty for a number of years and Daytona 24, generally camping by myself in 10A/B
Learning new things everyday! Between hurting my back and having the architect I was working for moved to Sweden, I've had a bit of time on my hands teaching myself illustration. The latest...
(In another forum thread, we discussed Trademark issues, so there are shapes instead of specific brand names etc)

It looks amazing, thanks for sharing!
Do you familiar with Georg Hubers's works?

Im not, but its amazing!
Well yours are pretty amazing too ,
did you ever find a way to sell them ? Tshirts , posters or ???
In reply to californiamilleghia :
I appreciate it! Really the only way I can sell them, is printing them myself at a local printer shop or from an online distributor and putting them on Etsy and or personal sales to people I know. I tried a few different avenues and was shot down by all of them. I haven't given up and am getting back to making them, so perhaps as I do I'll update this page and see if there is any interest. It would be more of a art hobby and appreciation that someone else would like art I created, not so much of a money making ordeal haha.
