Because New york is run by idiots our budget is about three months late so we are on the verge of closing up every week. They were supposed to close all state facilities today but a last minute agreement was reached keeping us open for another week. The news just ran a story on people who were DEVESTATED that they may not hae been able to play the lottery today. Hospitals, Unemployment, DMV ect were going to be closed and the biggest tragedy was that some old hag couldn't piss away her social security check on scratch off tickets today. I can't wait until this nonsense is over.

It will never be over, but once the Gov is gone this pissing contest will end.

I went up there for my birthday recently, for the first time in about ten years. Well, it was the first time in warm weather, and boy, Manhattan can smell of piss and E36 M3 in the summer time. Also, seemed very claustrophobic compared to the District - seemed much smaller than I remembered, otherwise nice time for a quick day trip, just wish there was a little more sparkle, civic pride to parts of the place. Peace outwith flame suit on

Yes, it's a very unnatural existence.

Ahh yes, the smells of summer in the city. What I don't understand is why so many people walk around in flip flops on streets that seem to stay covered in a thin film of goo.
