Christmas is challenging me, but otherwise I am maintaining my weight between 200 and 210 without much difficulty.

Just an update for the non-believers

P.S. see ya at the Rolex ... even if I have to look a lot harder to find you

I indulge in plenty of carbs, sipping on a good red wine as I type this, lots of green vegies, nuts, berries, now and then I even have an Atkins bar,

I mostly just avoid, bread, potato, rice, pasta and sugar

I will see you at Daytona

I don't know much about the Atkins diet but I do know if you follow a diabetic diet you'll also loose weight. A couple months the doc told me I was pre-diabetic and it would be a good idea to change my diet to a diabetic diet and sent me to diet counceling. Lost 10 pounds in a month. Down to 190 now. 10 more pounds and I'll be at the weight I was in the army. SWMBO is impressed enough that starting New Years she's following my diet also. I was about 180 for most of my time in the army, which was 20 years. When I was just out of basic I was 175. After retiring I got a desk job and went to night school to get my degree, spent weekend doing school work or driving teenage daughters around. Got up to 225 and got high blood pressure, changed diet, became more active and dropped 25 lbs down to 200. Was able to keep that easily. Now looking forward to dropping down to 180 again.

Great job. I did Atkins and dropped 50 pounds 10 years ago. It was much easier when I did it because there were no lo-carb products available. Therefore, I just ate less. I kept it off for 2 years, until the stress of a divorce put it back on. So avoid carbs and women, and you will stay thin.
