People who drive slowly in the left lane are probably the same people skipping out on their work shifts at events.

Am I the only one who immediately thought of the "AK47 as a horn" video that circulated a few days ago?

Had something cool happen this morning. I-40 westbound traffic starts to get heavy then slows up. I'm in the middle lane of a three lane highway. Unmarked detective's charger is in the left lane with his lights on because a guy in an older ranger had a ladder come out the back and is picking it up. Traffic gets back up to speed and the detective passes me and gets about 1/8th mile in front of me. I am watching in my mirror as a white Chrysler 300 is flying up in the right lane, he cuts across all lanes to the left behind me and passes me at about 120 m.p.h. Left lane is free and clear all the way up to the detective. He proceeds to tailgat the cop for a couple of seconds then just as he starts to make his move around the cop hits the lights. It was awesome the dude slammed the brakes on and the cop led him over to the right lane then turned his lights off and took off. I just wish it would have been a trooper no way he would have gotten off that easy.
It is so rare these days to get in a "school" of people who are all observant, respectful and predictable drivers, when it does happen I think I am dreaming. Actually being able to relax while driving hasn't happened in years. Unless I get up at dark-thirty, which I ain't.

Man, you aint just whistling dixie. I cant count how many tractors/trabants/gypsies pulling hand carts/ horse drawn carriages I've almost smeared on the highway... but the 130kph speed limit on a 2-lane road is stinking SWEET!
Feels like I'm standing still when I have to drive on an American Highway :) (hence the passing on the right problem I mentioned earlier)

I think detectives can write tickets too.. for that kind of speed.. I would have pulled him and then called for a trooper to come and write the ticket. Should take about... 15 or 20 minutes to get there....
We had just passed a weigh station trooper would have been there in no time. The detective seemed like he was in a hurry to get somewhere, I have a feeling he just happened upon the guy in the ranger and didn't want him to get hit. Then jackass #2 appears in his rearview, he slowed him down thats for sure.

I've been leaving for work at 5:00AM. There isn't a lot of traffic out at that time - very nice. My drive home is a little bit different, but no real traffic then either.
My wife just called:
"Hey, I just got behind someone on North Line Road that drives slower than me!"
'magine that.....
95% of the people that drive have no idea how to drive, when driving on the highway...merge at speed, at least the speed you intend drive at. Yes the left lane should be for passing and that's it. Some times I am in the left lane longer then what I plan'd on being there for, but when I am done passing I will get out of that lane.
