Brandywine Motorsport Club had our autocross season finale on Saturday, at Dover Speedway. It was also our inaugural drift event, kind of a proof-of-concept experiment limited to 20 cars for now. It seemed to go really well, and we'll probably be adding more, larger drift events to our calendar once we work out the insurance angle. So here you go, from the top of the Turn 1 grandstand stairway at the Monster Mile:

I'm just envious of the space you have for an autocross.

Heh, I've never heard that before. We usually only get here once a year. Our normal lot is about half that size, not rectangular, and has about a dozen light poles in it.

Our biggest lot is 5 acres, but it is flat.

Where are all the mod cars? I'm used to seeing lots of mod cars on space like that.

We don't have a single one. And this space really isn't as big as it looks. We ran autocross to the left of the island - start was just off camera to the left of the tent. Finish was about 100' from the middle break in the island, near the NC. Course ran about 35 seconds. We used to run there with a crossover into where the paddock is in the pic, but the paving is really getting bad in that middle section.

As I said, our usual lot is about the size of a business envelope and has a lot of poles, so we don't get many SRSBZNS guys at our events. We seem to be the club that people come to when they want to relax. We also are pretty friendly and low-key, so we get a lot of novices.
