Bablefish doesn't have a "translate from incoherent to coherent" so I'm turning to you folks. I'm taking an employee survey and this question is confounding me. I asked another co-worker and he's stumped as well. What are they trying to say here:
"To ensure anonymity, individual answers will not be reported back to [comapny name] if there are less than 10 members of staff in a group without your permission. Are you willing to have your results reported on in a group of less than 10? "
It appears to be just a poorly written question. Are they saying that if I click Yes they WILL include my name in the results of the group (answering the question???) is less than 10?

I think so.

Obviously, the results of the survey will be reported, because it would be a waste of effort if they didn't. It's the "less than ten" that provides anonymity, unless checking "yes"

Unless I'm totally off base

I think the idea is they want more than 10 people in a group to participate before single individuals' answers are reported back to the company. If less than 10 in a group participate, it becomes somewhat easy for the boss to figure out how individuals answered the questions (and possibly seek retribution). It looks like your name will not be included either way, but they want your permission to use your individual answers when reporting back to the boss if <10 in your group participate.

I'm not sure if I worded that well or not.
