Walter Becker of Steely Dan and Dave Hlubek of Molly Hatchet both gone today.
Dang. Hlubeck had his demons but was good at rocking. So many acts couldn't field half the team anymore if they wanted. Makes me wish I'd seen more live shows back in the day.
Tickets used to be pretty affordable until the the Jacksons Victory Tour and the Stones Steel Wheels tour came to pass. These days, touring is the only way to turn a buck and ticket prices reflect the reality.
That said, I passed on AC/DC in 2015 before Brian Johnson had to stand down. If I'd known it would be the last chance to see them I'd have been less reluctant to pay the $75 for a ticket. So many missed opportunities.
Carpe rockem'.

Yeah, it sucks to miss the great ones. Never saw AC/DC live.
I really wanted to see Rush on their 40th anniversary tour and didn't make it. I'll always suffer that loss. Rush was the first concert I attended that wasn't parentally controlled...
That's one of the reasons I drug SWMBO to Desert Trip last year. Saw McCartney, Dylan, Neil Young, the Stones, the Who, and Roger Waters in one fell swoop. I'm a tad young to really be in the typical audience for these artists (and SWMBO is even further out of the target audience), but it was a really good time and we got to spend a long (but expensive) weekend with my sister...
