It's no less cool because of the Nascar association. There are some redneck practices that I condone, and it just so happens, the consumption of alcohol in a garage while wrenching on an old car and blasting awesome music, is one of life's most noble pursuits 
I was just looking at this box again in the store... it's on sale for around $1500 or so right now. I have to admit, it was tempting... especially since my g/f was egging me to buy it... Unfortunately, I simply can't justify it for the minimal space gain over my current set-up.
In that situation, you should give yourself a pat on the back for saving $1500 by spending $300 towards building a kegerator.

Tempting.. .except Guiness by the keg is just way too expensive... and I won't drink anything I can afford by the keg... except maybe Yuengling...
