Listening to the Cure today and, you know, I never saw them–maybe one of life’s big regrets.
They toured last year, and AFAIK there have yet to be any announcements that they're going to stop. I've seen them 4 times (1990, 1992, 2016, 2023), all were great shows and I definitely recommend it if/when they do another tour.
The one I really wish I'd seen is The Smiths, but I didn't really get to the "going to concerts" age until a couple years after they'd broken up.
About a decade ago (shoot maybe more) the weakerthans played the town I now live in. I lived half hour away and didn't make the drive.
How long have you got here...?

Oh, also due to lack of funds, I missed a chance to see Zappa touring around Jazz From Hell.
I saw him three times. Unfortunately it was later in his career, post 70's, and I wasn't a fan of the music.

SRV and Double Trouble.
Glad I saw BB King before he passed.
Rammstein. There's still time to see them though.

Saw both. I think I saw BB King twice, free at Ontario place, and SRV in a little theatre in Hamilton place

I saw Jimmy Buffet PLENTY of times, but always in a large amphitheater. At Le Select in St. Barths (the inspiration for Cheeseburger in Paradise) Jimmy stopped by and played an impromptu set for an hour or two. I was there the weekend before. Jimmy picked up a new boat new New Orleans, and stopped by the Margaritaville and played with Mac for an hour or two in the bar. Bought drinks and food for everything there too. I was there the night before. Jimmy played for a small crowd at a little dive bar I frequent in Key West, just him and a guitar on a random Wednesday night. Yep, I was there Monday.
I never got to see Jimmy in a small club.
I bought a house in Margaritaville. I closed on it in Oct '23. The amenities include a small amphitheater so that Jimmy Buffet could stop by whenever he wanted and play an impromptu concert.
He died before I got to see him there.

Forgot to add Van Halen–as in DLR Van Halen–to my list of bands that we saw and will, sadly, never see again.
I saw them during their 1984 tour at the Carolina Colosseum. It was pretty awesome.
I found an interesting site while digging around. Want to see and listen to the setlist from a concert you attended? https://www.setlist.fm/
Van Halen, Feb 1984, Carolina Colosseum.

How old was that?
I had to look up the exact date, I saw Metallica the first time about 6 weeks before I turned 10. So yes, I was 9-years old for my first Metallica show. 10-years old when I saw Alice in Chains open for Ozzy later that year. It was really wild because Layne had broken his foot the night before in a 4-wheeler accident so he came on stage in a wheelchair and used a crutch for the rest of his performance.
I have seen a lot of great shows over the years, including some heavy hitters, but I do have some regrets. Bands or artists I wish I saw:
-Metallica
-Corrosion of Conformity
-Alice In Chains (with Layne)
-Soundgarden
-Ozzy (solo)
-Dio (both solo and with the Heaven & Hell lineup)
Those are probably my biggest ones. Metallica is still touring, and slated to be in town this weekend, but I can't swing the ticket costs. COC still makes their way around every once in a while, so I need to see them next time they pass through. AIC still tours, but I wish I saw them with Layne back in the day, and every time they tour, they bring bands I have no interest in seeing with them, so I always skip it. I plan on catching them before they hang it up though, as I enjoy their post-Layne stuff quite a bit. I missed Soundgarden in their prime, and that one stings, because they were a huge band for me growing up. And strangely enough, I did get to see original lineup Sabbath with Ozzy, which was probably my #1 concert ever, but I grew up with the solo Ozzy stuff as a staple in my house, so I wish I got to see him on one of those tours.
The biggest regret of all is Dio for me. I had some friends who saw Dio back when the solo career was at its end during the Killing the Dragon tour, and I didn't go for some dumb reason. Even if he was playing for 5 people, he was incredible. And when he got back together with the Sabbath guys for the Heaven and Hell stuff, I didn't go because I didn't want to pay $50 for a ticket. I bought the concert DVD instead. He was gone a year later. That still hurts.

The Clash
Saw Tom Petty. They opened with American Girl. I could have left after that song and been happy with the experience.
I'm catching a lot of bands that I missed back in the day (Jane's Addiction wsg Love And Rockets, Buzzcocks, Pat Benatar) and repeating some that I have seen (X, so far). I love live shows.
One of these years, AW and I are going to catch Pearl Jam.
FWIW I had tix to see Metallica and Guns n Roses at RFK Stadium in DC, then I found out Santana was playing Merriweather Post the same night. 7/17/92. Drove to RFK the day of the show, sold my tix, beat feat to Merriweather, laid on the grass and listened to Carlos make sweet love to that guitar.
here's what I missed though (skip to 13:10)

The Clash
I saw The Clash in 1982 at a Who arena show. They were past their prime at that point, but to be fair, they were the last opener in a very odd lineup:
- The Hooters
- Santana
- Clash
- The Who
There may have been another band in there somewhere before the Clash; it was more than 40 years ago.
Topper Headon had just been fired about 3-4 months before the show and the whole band were kind of over it at that point. I would like to have seen them pre-Combat Rock.
In a small club.......these would be fun....
Elvis , Sinatra , Roy Orbison , JerryLee Louis , Janis , Hendrix, The Doors, Dylan
I would probably pass if it was a Stadium concert and nose bleed seats ?

The Smiths' last US tour was 1986, and rock concerts weren't really something I was aware of at 14. My first one was Erasure in 1988.
Wish I saw Pantera before the tragedy of Dimebag and of course Vinnie passing later on. I did see them last year on the "reunion" tour and it was awesome. I know when I would have been able to see them at a younger age, it was a crap shoot as to whether they could get Phil to perform one night to the next coherently.
White Zombie. I'll be seeing Rob this year along with Alice Cooper which is a bucket list item.
Motorhead would have been rad.
Truckfighters when they had come through the states before. Doubt they will again anytime soon.
Doubtful that Slomosa will ever get closer than Austin anytime soon.
Radiohead.
Misfits, both Danzig and Graves.
The Murder City Devils.
God Forbid. They were supposed to be at a GWAR show on the Blood Drive Tour but their bus broke down on the way. Still it was great to see Goatwhore and GWAR which I will be seeing without Dave Brockie this fall.
Fugazi.
Dr. John.
Mindless Self Indulgence. I missed them opening for Korn/Staind in 2000. They were finishing up as I arrived.
Tom Petty.
Elton John.
Queen.
Sublime.
Mighty Bosstones.
Nirvana.
Days of the New.
Bob Marley.
The Stooges.
Bad Brains.
Monster Magnet.
I'm sure there's a ton more I wish I would have seen or still would like to.
In reply to captainawesome :
I saw Pantera on the Extreme Steel tour around 2000-01. I think that was their last tour before they broke up. They brought Slayer, Static-X, and Morbid Angel with them. I missed Morbid Angel (grr, stupid traffic) and snoozed through Static-X (I did not enjoy them). But classic lineup Slayer and Pantera... whoo boy. That was a show. I can still feel the heat from the pyro. Absolutely amazing experience.
That reminds me of another band I wish I saw: Death. Not the proto-punk one (although that would be cool too) but the Chuck Schuldiner-fronted one. I was introduced to them by a friend/coworker around 2003, which by that time, Chuck had already succumbed to cancer a couple years prior. Just missed them.
Also, Rush. I can't believe I didn't mention them earlier. I would've loved to see them live. I just didn't go for whatever reason, and suddenly Neil Peart passed away, so they probably won't ever tour or play again. Even if they got someone like Mike Portnoy to get behind the kit (I mean, he HAS to be the go-to replacement), it wouldn't be the same.
In reply to Tony Sestito :
That's the tour I would have seen them on if I was able to swing it. I really wanted to see them paired with White Zombie before they broke up, but I was still in middle school at that point and the parental units wouldn't have gone for it. I did get to see Slayer on their farewell tour along with Testament, Anthrax, NAPALM DEATH (which I loved live and never cared for before), and of course one of my favorite live bands Lamb of God.
I also wish I had seen Queens of the Stone Age when Songs for the Deaf came out. I finally caught them last year with the new album and they didn't disappoint. BUT if Grohl was on drums with some Lanegan for Songs for the Dead I'd be content.
I heard Pearl Jam but didn’t see them: They played the field next to my dorm, and I heard some of the soundcheck from the bathroom. I had never heard of them at the time, and I’m pretty sure I headed downtown that evening to catch someone else.
I had tickets to see Rush on their Presto tour in 1990. I was in the USAF at the time and got confined to the base the weekend of the show. I didn't like the music they released after that and there always seemed to be some conflict when they were playing nearby.
I did get to see Soundgarden, RHCP, Pearl Jam, Ministry, The Cure, Metallica, Primus, Anthrax with Public Enemy, in the early 90's. All really good shows.
Depeche Mode (not a good show), Duran Duran, Cake, in the late 90's.
The Police last tour in the late 00's. Saw them with my brother instead of going to a Rush show becauseI couldn't find anyone to go with.
Alabama Shakes, The Avett Brothers (3 times, always a good show), Mt. Joy. in the last 10 years.
In reply to CAinCA :
We saw the last Police tour, too. I went in totally not knowing what to expect. I kinda figured they’d have a percussion section, some backup singers and maybe an extra guitarist or two.
It was just three of them.

I've seen DM three times -- 1990, 1993, and 2023. 1990 and 2023 were great, the 1993 show was only OK, although that could have been the venue.

This was around the 93 timeframe. It was a hot mess at Cal Expo. It was around the time that David Gahan was in his peak heroin usage. The opening band was much better.
