Cheering for the Tigers, but I'm sad to see Jeter broken. He is a spectacular, intelligent player, and its fun to curse when he pulls off some sort of genius move to beat my team. National league, I haven't picked a fave yet since Dusty got beaten. Some fun ball so far, though
"One must cheer when the Yankees lose, for it happens so seldom."
i want neither the yankees or the tigers to win. go national league, whoever it is.

Go Tigers! That could have something to do with being born and raised in Detroit.
I am not really paying attention, but I do really want the Yankees to loose at some point.
Why? Well because I heard a statistic that the two (might have been 3?) top paid players on the Yankees have the same pay as the ENTIRE A's team! Love to see teams like that fall short. What can I say, I like the underdog.
I love how all the Tigers-Yanks coverage is "The Yankees lost" rather than "Tigers won." It's good to be the underdog.
Also pleeeaase no instant replay challenges.
I don't follow baseball really but I love hearing the Yankees lose.

I'm with the OP. I'd rather see the Tigers win, but honestly, Jeter is the kind of player I'll probably tell my kids that I got to see play live. The more I see him play, the more impressed I become with the way he plays the game.
Ichiro is awesome, too.
But as a Dodgers fan, the most important thing to me is that the Giants lose spectacularly.
GO TIGERS ! Trust me all of Baltimore is rooting for the tigers.
BTW: berkeley the berkeleying Yankees
Also, go Giants, because I really don't want to face the Cards in the WS
Lets see, Tigers sent the Yanks home last year, lets go for a repeat. Cards vs. Giants, I kind of like the Cards out of the 2, most rings of an NL team, defending champs, ect. Either way, Donebrokeit put it best, berkeley the berkeleying Yanks.
Hell, I'm a Mets/red sox fan, post season comes I need to pick new favorites for October. Lets try for .500 next year!
Sad to see Jeter out. Good to see an old man playing ball.
And all you jealous mother-berkers can suck it, 'cause the Yanks have more World Series wins than anyone.
Baseball? I just watched "League of their own" with Geena Davis again

FTFY.
I wish Jeter was still playing. Cuz now when the tigs win, all the New Yorkers will say "Duh, yeah, but if Jeetah played, theyz have nevuh beated us"
I'll put it this way, I'm a huge Phillies fan. The last three teams to knock the Phils out of the playoffs are still playing...Yankees, Giants, Cardinals. I can't even watch the NL playoffs, it turns my stomach.

I would have rather seen the athletics put a world of hurt on the yankees.....but I like the tigers better than the yanks.....
As far as NL is concerned, I wanted the reds to take it for a change. Btw....I'm a braves fan.
