I just opened the site up on my laptop and am a little dismayed at what I have found. One of my biggest pet peeves about other forums is the stupid blue highlighted words that if you run your mouse over them an add pops up. Now I have that here on GRM. Say it isn't so? Also when I mouse over someones profile picture an add pops up for something called Dingo deals?

Sounds like you have a tracker on your computer. Run a malware/spyware program and it should be gone.
Yeah, you clicked on the wrong thing, nicksta. You got a virus/hijacked.
Apparently so, just ran a scan and it didn't turn up anything. What is a good way to find it? I'm not very computer savvy.

Return your browser to the default setting. I use Firefox and have to do it every few months.
Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox
Get rid of the toolbars every program trys to install these days on your browser.

I use Spybot Search and Destroy. Has worked great for years and it's still free.
Also, as already suggested, shut off any toolbars. They cause ads like that and make your internet slower anyways.
