Had my prostate surgery July 28th and haven't been on the board since then until tonight. Surgery took three hours, but he also fixed three hernias and did something on my colon that he thinks is related to my Crohn's. He was able to spare the nerve bundles. Every day was better that the last and I felt great by last Saturday. Finally got the catheter and staples out today and it was like heaven. Only problem now is when i sneeze I squirt. Cross my legs I squirt. Climb up into my 4runner, you get it! I got to do some Kegel exercises to get some control back. I still haven't gotten the pathology report yet. Two days after surgery Doc gets on a plane and takes a week long vacation at the Grand Canyon. He still isn't back to work yet, but did try to contact me this evening while I was out buying panty liners.

Its going to take me a while to get caught back up.

I don't care who you are, that there's funny!

I truly empathize with you, but the mental picture it paints is funny.

Certainly glad to see you back even if there are still some "issues" to work out.

I'm presuming that you're seeing the funny side to the situation too, 1) due to the fact that you posted it on this forum which is notoriously insensitive and 2) due to the way you wrote it.

I see lots of positives in your post. Good luck on the recovery and, please, for the duration could you post downwind of us?

Hope your recovery is going well. Surgery is weird. I had my first experience with it on Tuesday when I went to the walk-in clinic for some abdominal pain in the afternoon, and by midnight I was on the table having my appendix forcibly removed. Things haven't been excessively painful for me so far, but there's something incredibly surreal about the realization that someone's been poking around my insides with tools, at least as a relatively young guy who'd never even spent the night in a hospital since birth.

Also, if you were ever considering taking a heavy duty stapler to the inside of your belly button, just don't. And if you do, for god's sake don't leave them there for a week. That's pretty much the number one thing I've learned from this.

Hey, glad to hear you're back, and glad to hear you're mending. Surgery takes time to recover from but it sounds like you're on the way.

Bill, my grandpa used to say that every day on the warm side of the dirt is a good one. Glad that youre healing from the solutions, rather than suffering from the problems. heres to a speedy recovery!!!!

Man you have had it easy. I went from the womb straight to the operating table for a birth defect on day 1, had a kidney removed at age 3 due to aftermath of said defect, had a benign tumor removed from my neck at 14, a broken femur repaired at 20, a broken wrist repaired (yes surgery) at 21, and oral surgery is on the table soon here at age 30...Im so used to being cut open, I feel like that CRX the Hongs keep whoring around to each other for the challenge .

Im pretty sure I could compete with Slefain for the highest "metal" content on the board...

Glad you're back from a major Tune Up! My neighbor just had his prostate removed due to cancer, he says condoms have 1,001 uses.

Welcome back.

Welcome back. That condom idea is a ton better than my clothes pin idea.
