Chambered in 40 S&W. I can get a great deal on a package that includes the gun, case, spare clip and accessories. Would be used for home defense and ICZ. (in case of zombies)

I didn't like the way it felt in my hand but thats a personal preference thing. Over all it was a nice hand gun.
Honestly, they are very nice firearms(to be expected), I passed on one when they first came out for the g33 i carried for years, but have since moved on to sig's.
It shot well, looked good, and wasn't too heavy or light versus what I was used to already. It all boiled down to the price versus other things out there at the time. What are they asking for it?
Oh, and I dislike .40sw with a passion(personal reasons, not knocking it)
Edit: I also forgot to add, there should be 2 or 3 different backs for the grip to tailor it to your hand.
If you're comfortable with it in your hand, I'd say go for it. Beretta has been putting out some good E36 M3 lately. Or boys overseas carry them and so do the StL Police. When you use it for self defense, use good hollow tip ammo.

Nothing more true than that. I don't recommend federal ammo in .40 though, I'd go with hornady or speer.
I have no preference on the gun, looks good though. As for ammo, I use 185 gr HydraShocks in my .40 S&W Baby Eagle. Badass ammo!
I prefer .45, followed by .32 or .380 due to their size (entire weapon size), but prefer .40 over 9mm due to knock down power. Modern ammunition is taking care of that problem though.
I didn't hate the M9, but I don't think it has much in common with the PX4 Storm. They do have interesting rotating barrels on the compact and full-sized ones.

Its a compromise caliber. Lots of people feel you should either go .45 for the power or 9 for the capacity.

I did a little Google search and it appears the .40 was developed specifically as a law enforcement caliber to replace the 38 P+ revolver with a higher capacity automatic.

The .40 S&W is a cut down 10mm. The FBI obtained 10mm pistols to replace their under-powered 38 revolvers. The 10mm was too much for the smaller agents and females to handle comfortably. The original 10mm ammo had power similar to a .41 mag. Due to this, the 10mm FBI round was developed, with power similar to what is today's .40 S&W. S&W realized that they could shorten the cartridge, and the .40 S&W was born.
The .40 S&W is a great round, and modern loads are on equal footing with .45 ACP loads.
Except you can cram a bunch of them in a much smaller frame.
I hate .40 S&W only for the fact that its brass is too easily confused with the .45ACP that I'm supposed to be picking up when we're plinking at the range. Jams up the works when you think you're popping the primer out of a .45 casing...
I only dislike .40SW due to fragmenting issues with every type of ammunition I tried(with the exception of speer gold dot)
I left that ship and went to .357sig in my g33....more exotic, yes. More expensive, yes. More powerful, yes. Same capacity as 40sw, and the best caliber ballistically available for a small frame glock. On that note, anyone know if they make the px4 in .357sig?

The Glock 29 takes offense to your statement.
In reply to rotard:
The 29, 30, and 36 are the smallest of the "large frame glocks" as in, the subcompact in those, is nearly the size of a full size g17.....
the 26, 27, and 33 are much smaller.....

I can't help it that Glock claims it's a subcompact. Heh.
Just a note about 'knock down power' 'stoppingpower' and other silly phrases like that. There is no such thing as stopping power. And in the real world, .40S&W doesn't perform noticeably better than 9mm at stopping people.

Shoot whatever caliber you want, but real world data says it doesn't really matter.
