The 12" miter saw could be had for $150. For just making basic stuff around the house it'd work much better than a chop saw.

I needed to fill my car with gas from a can, and the newfangled "safety" spouts suck eggs! I needed to pour into a funnel that bent 90-degrees into the opening, then 90-degrees back down the filler neck. Harbor Freight sells this old-school metal funnel that can be bent to shape and it stays there. $3 not even on sale. LOVE IT!
I also bought a set of GearWrench style wrenches that have far outlasted my actual GearWrench wrenches.
The color coded sockets, welding gloves, auto-darkening mask, and that new electric cut off wheel are my go to HF tools.
The pilot bearing puller broke after falling on the floor. Only used it once.
