Ive been buying models at auction to resell and I have good luck on eBay with some but not all. Ate there any websites that you guys frequent that allow people to sell models? I've found a few Facebook pages and have had mixed results. Thanks Dan K

How about posting a list of the ones you would like to sell here. There's some trading back and forth sometimes for Hotwheels and I've seen plastic models listed a couple of times.
I started doing the same thing a couple of years ago but never got around to trying to sell them. Truth is I like most of what I bought a lot and will probably keep them at least for a while.
I'd like to have an 88-94 McLaren F1 car in 1:18 scale.
Most of the ones I bought were off ebay. There are some model car sites but they don't seem to get much traffic.
Thanks guys. I had a post selling some here but didn't get much attention. Probably because I just had a link to a craigslist post (that I've since deleted). I always have trouble posting pics to this website. I'll try and revisit it. Most of what I have right now is Ferrari plastic models and diecast.

Feel free to critique my ads.
I don't know that the problem is the ad or the venue but the models themselves. Plastic kits of foreign cars typically don't do well unless they are Tamiya kits of something really popular and discontinued.
Diecasts are a crap shoot. I just sold my 1953-1970 Matchbox collection, something that was worth quite a bit of money several years ago but I've noticed the values have been stagnant and even dropping somewhat. Got out while I still could and sold them all to a dealer as I just wasn't interested in trying to list and ship 300+ items on ebay. They were truly collectibles. A lot of the diecast stuff you see nowadays were sold as collectibles and not toys. That means no rarity, as they were never played with and destroyed. Something like that Ferrari isn't terribly old or rare, the detailing on it is 'meh' and it doesn't have the mass appeal of a '69 Roadrunner.
Ebay is by far the best avenue to part with stuff like that. Local toy shows/swap meets are another possibility but again, that kind of stuff you're selling generally doesn't do that well. I'd say sell as much as you can individually and put the remainder up as a 'lot' and see how that does.
We have a Hot Wheels collector show in Dayton OH twice a year, mostly HW's and it's 1/2 and 1/2 new-ish and real collector (like 60's redline). There have been some model kits lately, bought a Fiat 124 rally car at the last one (I still need to build). The next one is August 16th. Google it and see if it's a traveling thing or just local.
Hara Arena. If you get a spot, let me know which one you are so I can stop by and say hello. Not much into Ferrari but I'd see what you have.
