Here is my dilemma. I have a $200 dollar C6 core. Bare case only abt 25lbs but it's huge.
There is no UPS or Fed EX within 30 miles.... Gas cuts down my core value.
I have a post office next door to my work.
I'm shipping this thing to Texas.... From Kentucky. Now what? Ive never shipped anything larger than a turbo and down pipe. I've had entire semi loads of parts received on the other hand...

You can ship parcel post up to a certain total measurement L+W+H and I think as much as 45-50 lbs. I shipped a couple mini fridges that way a while back. Lady at the counter was not amused.
Schedule pickup with phuckUPS or ShredEx? The brown or white bastages will come to your house to pick it up.... I think R&L Carriers or UPS/FedEx Freight will pick up, if you are close enough.
Beyond that, I'd eat the core charge.
If it cost 190 to ship it. It's worth it. I need all the help I can get. Just want the most return for it.
Why not sell it locally? Then pay the core charge!
I think the Post Office is your answer.
The guy that bought some Chevy II fenders from me wanted them shipped via Greyhound, which I did, even though it was a bit of pain in the arse. Had to drive the durn things to the bus station. Dunno if that's an option for you, but I doubt it if you don't have a UPS facility near you.
The core has been paid with my purchase for a couple months. I went ahead and ate it to get it installed.
Now I'm just having a tight cpl weeks and this trans sitting in my garage.
I called local trans shops and they said... Big block FE bolt pattern and a C6? Yeah like we ever need those cores. $20 delivered. No thanks..
I'm going to clean it up and take it to post office and just see. Greyhound would be over an hr away.
Can you ship it at work? I just let the UPS guy there take everything. We get daily pickups.
