I used to be able to ride a bike backwards, but nothing like that.

I just became a lot less impressed with my friend who rides BMX. And he's good.
Seriously, how many times do you have to fall (hard, from six feet off the ground onto your friend and her bike, into a twisted pile of limbs and metal, with a handlebar going someplace it should never go) before you learn how to do that?
And leave it to the Germans to take some badass bike stuntery and turn it into a regimented, uniformed showcase of group precision and discipline. In the States, this would be sponsored by Monster, flatbillers for participants, and Limp Bizkit for a soundtrack. Not that that's any better then patriotic leotards.
I now expect every fixie rider to have this ability, otherwise they're just pretending to be German girls in leotards.
