NICE! that saves me a bit of money there. Even more so because the local pull a part seems to be drowning in 70's and 80's gm iron!

Would the S10 Blazer be a better option then for getting better hook up? I'm sure that shell adds a little bit of weight on the back tires.
This actually sounds like doable project. I have hope!

I figure I don't need the torque of the 5.3 or 6.0 as much as I want the "rev-ability" of the shorter-stroked 4.8. I'm hoping to keep it flex-fuel too.
I think I'm in love....I love the LR4. I want one, with a cam, LS6 intake and headers sitting in a C4. I think that would be the perfect DD.

HA! and you think I get cell signal here at the house either? Man I live in the middle of NOWHERE! LOL, that being said, I talked to the contractor that runs the fiber optic lines for the local telco and he said we're supposed to get a fiber phone line down our street sometime this year.
I had thoughts of a 2.0 Turbo or 2.4 Ecotec swap into the sportside s-10 like Bobzilla had with all the suspension tweaks and some good rubber on lightweight wheels dancing through my head earlier today.

How far along is the project?
I'm all for the awesomeness of the LS series, with more revs, and what sounds like a cheap T5 trans.
I did a SBC tbi into an Astro.. that was fun! Pretty hard to drive in the wet.. my kids got used to holding onto the sides of their carseats and saying "whooo!" when I accelerated out of left turns..
I sold it because I didn't think they needed to learn how to drift at such a young age....

Seriously. Move back to Indy. There's two brick body Blazers with air cleaners sticking out of the hoods running deep 11s and 10s.
But Drew, you're going about this wrong.
You want a little truck, a small engine, and a huge turbo.
Build a monster F2T with me and drop it in a B2200. (See my thread entitled "Am I Criminally Insane?")

Sportside versions had less weight over the rear axle due to the fiberglass fenders. But it helped alleviate the ass droop the reg ones had. I hated the nose up attitude.
Heck I just wanna add a turbo to my wife's "gutless" 02 4cyl model, hills are an exercise in frustration as you put your foot through the floor boards,
no kidding father in laws early late 90's early 2k s10 extended cab with the 2.2 and auto trans is MISERABLE to drive... doh

House payment in VA sadly D:
I was thinking about a Nissan Pickup though. My exact thought was "I wonder if you can put an Sr20 in there". Then I thought it was silly. A couple of Nissan SR20's would pull a premium one week before race wars. But I like the way you think.
