Just too much snow to get removed by Sunday. Maybe Tuesday or someplace else.
All this is caused by global warming that made the lakes warm.

Nah, their rabid Fans ain't gonna shovel that kind of snow for $10 an hour and a ticket to that game. (They did advertise this)
Its ok that they can't play in Buffalo.... they can't really play anywhere else either.
(steelers fan retreating to the shadows)
Well, the news report I heard said it wasn't just the stadium but the surrounding area. People can't get to the stadium to clear snow for $10/hr and a free ticket. They aren't sure they'll have the roads (and parking lots?) cleared by Sunday. They're telling everyone to stay home and out of the way.
Apparently, 6 feet of snow is a lot of snow... even for Buffalo.
i'd think that everyone that lives in an area that is known for getting a couple of snow storms every year where they measure the accumulation with a yard stick would own a snowmobile and have a truck with a plow on it..

and there was a prediction last night of another 2 feet
the team hasn't been able to practice all week … can't get to the stadium, couldn't practice even if they could get there … 8 - 9 ft of snow is tough to do anything with

when it gets that deep, a truck with a plow probably won't cut it
When it gets that deep even most end loaders are going to have a hard time stacking it high enough clear an area.
pipe bombs to clear the snow? (not a political or violent comment, just saying the semi controlled fire/explosions seems like a good method to promote melting and evaporation even in frigid temps)
i really hope they can't play there next sunday too and move the game somewhere else like detroit, because if they do that i'm going.

That giant 8ft snow blower I have for sale wouldn't even cut it very well.....
In reply to wbjones:
We know that feeling, we usually run our '87 f150 with its old straight Boss blade and a utility tractor with a loader. Last year, after that first 16" snowstorm, we should have blown it.
