The Shamwow guy is named Vince. I vote for Vince to be the next!
Billy Mays (and his beard) turned our site stats seriously weird over the weekend. As near as I can tell, more than 2000 people searched Google images for "billy mays beard", and ended up on this thread: http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/the-captain-heads-to-saturn/9943/page1/
I know a guy that owns a DJ business and one of his workers called him from a wedding and said that they played medly of MJ songs and one of the guys from the wedding party started yelling at the DJ calling him a "Pickle Licker" and went out side and slashed the DJ's trailers tires. Then came back inside and apologized to the DJ. The groom and another guy were out in the parking lot changing the tires on a trailer on his wedding day. WTF?!??!
So from what they said on the radio, luggage fell out of the overhead compartment hit him on the head. He went home with a headache thought he was fine and didn't wake up the next day. That's why I don't mess around with head injuries.
^^^ my Grandmother died from hitting her head... same exact situation ( well, slipped and hit her head on the countertop)
headache, went to bed, didn't wake up
Basically what happens is what you think is a mild to severe headache can be a fatal brain injury, usually treatable IF you get checked out.
you know how celebrity deaths normally come in three's? Well leave it to Billy Mays to throw another one in ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!

Initial autopsy results suggest he suffered from hypertensive heart disease, and the wall of the left ventricle of Mays' heart and the wall of one of his arteries were enlarged. Hillsborough County Medical Center Dr. Vernard Adams said in a press conference Monday that the autopsy revealed no evidence of any external or internal head trauma, correcting early reports that Mays may have suffered an ultimately fatal wound to the head during a rough plane landing Saturday.
In general, a head wound leading to a death would result in a loss of consciousness (LoC) at the time of the injury, and if that happened, he would have got a scan that would have found the boo-boo when the plane landed and they triaged the passengers. Unless he landed in Canada, where their socialized medicine (wait for it) would have given them an aspirin and told them to call back later so they could schedule the scan in about six months to a year. Any LoC should have a CT scan and then be sent home if normal (and no other focal findings), or admitted and serial neurological exams. Status change, scan 'em.
Grtechguy, the elderly are a somewhat special case. Their brains shrink. That means you have a hard outer ball with a smaller inner soft ball rattling around inside, suspended in water. Connecting the two are blood vessels. If you rattle the outer ball hard enough, the inner ball bounces away from the outer ball hard enough and one of the blood vessels (which are getting harder every day) can tear. Then you don't wake up.

Andy Dick is one of the few people I know who actually lives up to his name. If only his name was Andy Gruesome-Death, then we all can live in a better world. I mean anyone who would make a joke about the death of Phil Hartman within earshot of John Lovitz and is surprised that Lovitz then kicks his ass shows just how completely Mr. Dick lives up to his name.
With all of that said, I actually didn't mind Billy after getting to "know" him on his TV Show, seemed like a pretty regular guy who was just trying to enjoy his 15 minutes of fame without losing the plot too much.

Really? In Canada when a plane crashes they just give the victims an asprin? I don't know if I beleive that. If it comes out of fox it's probably crap. Same as msnbc. I dunno, an asprin may be better than the $3200 the stupid bastard of a doctor ended up costing me because I just had to have a cat scan after my kidney stone... It showed nothing. He new it wouldn't. He said he just wanted to be sure it wasn't still in my kidney. I thought all the pain i was in for the last six hours was pretty good evedance that it was already passed. In the words of click and clack, maybe someone had to make a boat payment.
