For some reason, seeing Todd Lyons on se bikes reminded me.of the period he was briefly on huffy and rode them at xgames. I.actively went searching.for.his pro model. I remember clear as day, he did a quarter pipe transfer to.vertical wall ride to back flip..... He stuffed the flip, but it was still one of the most ridiculous lines I've ever seen in a street event.
Todd is a friend of a friend, and I hear very nice things about him. Such a nice young man.
He rode at a bowl/ramp contest down here in Daytona. I seem to remember him jumping out of a bowl, clearing a chain link fence, and riding out into the half-pipe next-door.
Oh boy I do not need to see this right now. SWMBO already has most of my money spent on other things and other people. I will have to reclaim some of my modest fortune for myself and go shopping.
me neither.. I just picked up a 1986 Mongoose Expert frame and fork for $30 the other night. let the winter project begin.

Why would you do a dumb thing like talk yourself out of it?

They still make A'me grips???
You know, it is bad to have 10 year old's memories and mid-30s' income.
So, how much is Trick Stars going for these days...

Um, maybe not. Frames for $1500???
Now I am going to go into a dark room and cry about the one I used to have. This is how guys who scrapped valuable musclecars feel.
Yup, they still make A'me grips: http://www.amegrips.com/category/catalog/bmx
Planet BMX has them, too.
I know nothing of the BMX world, but I have an old friend who is in pretty deep so I will chime in with a shameless plug. It is small business saturday by now, so I hope this is cool.
He works in a cool shop down in Coral Springs, FL and is constantly trying to work out sales specials and promotions for all kinds of gear. Check them out and ask for Jason if you are trying to track down something. http://www.ccsbmx.com
The cool and obscure stuff he finds winds up in his ebay store where I think he mostly specializes in vintage BMX decals but has a little bit of everything with a regular turnover in stock. Stop by The Rad Shop if you are looking for old school and let him know if you want him to hunt down something specific: http://stores.ebay.com/American-Rad-Shop?fb_action_ids=10204250532616614&fb_action_types=og.shares
I haven't actually been in touch with him for a while but he is a racer at heart, he just does it with two wheels and human power.
