Sure. It's a poor area of town. That's why they don't sue the thrower.

Hate that the kid got hurt. But damn, lawsuits like this are why this is turning into a nation of sissies afraid to even let kids toss a freakin' football before school.

It's no joke. I dealt with that for about 2-3 months after my motorcycle wreck.

But I came off the bike around 60mph (helmet and gear on, at the track) and I ended up with it.

Getting hit with a football..........I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

Undoubtably the fact that the thrower was an eighth grader had no bearing on their decision.

Looks like the school and its' administrators are getting sued because they failed to enforce their own policies. And, because the eighth-grader doesn't have any money.

Attorney Price said: Prior to the incident, concern about size and maturity differences between fifth- and eighth-grade students led the school to institute policies and procedures segregating the groups and banning ball throwing before school.
