Alright guys, so some of you know already, but haven't seen the pictures of how I did it, but the day after I got back from the GRM $2017 Challenge, I proposed. (She said yes!) We had discussed the intent to get married but she had no idea that I talked to her dad and gotten the whole thing together, so it was a total surprise for her.
I had had this idea for a proposal in my head for a while, and whenever the time came to actually do it, everything just fit together perfectly.
Enough words, I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking!
The setup:
The reveal: (I had her open the hoods)
"I'm not going to *Dodge* around the point"
"I was thinking *miata* ask you a question"
"Would you Be My Wife?" *BMW*
Yes, I got down on one knee:
BMW?
Fun Fact:
The miata was on it's last leg. The drive to get setup for this was it's last drive before pulling the engine and scrapping the body. It had a broken windshield too, that I only fixed just to make this work!

Well, if you have kids, you're set on the dad joke front. Those are some grade Z level dad puns. ;-) I am impressed by the prep work you put into the proposal!!

Not a dad yet, but I am a fan of ye ol' dad jokes. Getting my practice in for the future I suppose.

Didn't realize it was you who brought that blue and white Triumph to the Challenge, when I saw those pics I thought "where have I seen that guy before..." IIRC you saw my avatar badge and asked if they were being given out to entrants again, and I said I made it myself.

Yup, that was me! Planning to bring the Triumph back for $2018, if all goes well it might be a slightly different color scheme.
More power to you, but I would never have the balls to do that. What if she says no?
And, the whole "Ask the father" thing is such horse E36 M3. She is an adult. She gets to make the choices in the own life, and if she doesn't, I don't want her.
