My dog did NOT take off after a deer on our run this afternoon. He also rolled around in some mud, but then patiently waited while I hosed him off before coming into the house. Accomplishments!

My youngest son won Defensive MVP for his football team. This is his third year of football (he's in 4th grade) and the second time he's won Defensive MVP. The only reason he didn't win last year was because he couldn't control his emotions and had to come out of a lot of games when he got frustrated. He's a budding middle linebacker and hits like a freight train. He kept his cool all year, despite the fact that the team went 1-7 and typically lost by 20-30 points.
Can't leave out his older brother, who is quite jealous. He's been playing football for 4 years (in 7th grade now), but doesn't have an athletic bone in his body. However, he's the "Rudy" story...he fights hard and never backs down, so that earns him playing time.
My son just figured out how to stack rings on his ring stacker. Looks like he's going to tackle walking next
