IIRC, New Mexico is a tax hole because it has a lot of military bases per capita.

I think the same as New Mexico regarding WV and MS, fed government installations at the time of the study were being funded. Plus there are the coal industry subsidies for WV and Oil company subsidies for MS.

Well here's something that hasn't declined with the Brexit vote. Since leaving the EU, the UK has seen 400% growth...in hate crimes.
